is there a way to edit an entry (published in SAEF with ‘Safecracker’) in SAEF mode?

There are a few ways:

Editing using entry_id: http://barrettnewton.com/safecracker/user_guide/entry_form/#par_entry_id
Editing using url_title: http://barrettnewton.com/safecracker/user_guide/entry_form/#par_url_title

You can pass an entry_id or url_title. Those things can be either dynamically passed, or hardcoded.
