I notice that whenever I edit an entry using Safecracker’s SAEF, the date is automatically updated to the time/date of the edit (and also that the date gets bumped into the future when an edit is performed, but I guess this is a known bug). Is there any way to make it keep the original post date/time? I don’t want users to be able to bump their entries to the top of the stack by editing their entry.

I would like to fix this in a future release, in the meantime, try adding a hidden input for entry_date:
