Hi,

Have built my shop and now working on the cart. Have sorted out the display of my products and now working on the integration of PayPal Website Payments Standard (will upgrade to Pro when the website starts making enough profit) but am struggling at the first hurdle. I login to my PayPal account and go to the profile page however I do not have a “Website Payment Preferences” option. Instead I have ::

* Auctions
* Postal Preferences
* Create New Button
* Invoice Templates
* Language Encoding

Do I need to create buttons for each item before I see this option?? I am struggling to understand how CartThrob fits into the Standard option as it would seem that I have to add the products to both CartThrob and PayPal.

Has anyone else in the UK used PayPal Standard and can help me through the process of setting this up?

Thanks in advance

You should see something like this:

If you don’t, you’ll need to contact PayPal support to find out why your account is crippled. It may be something as simple as getting your account verified, or attaching a bank account to your paypal account. I’m not sure exactly… but at this point there’s not much I can do to help until you have a fully working Paypal account.

Thats when you click profile. You should have it if you have a confirmed account

Needed to upgrade to a merchant account from a personal account.

Paypal pro should be easy. Let me know if you have any issues.
