Subscriptions based off cart total?

I didn’t see this in the docs, but wanted some clarification. Can you base a subscription off the cart total? For instance, my client wants the option of making a one time payment or spreading the payments over 3 months.

Yes. You can. All of the add_to_cart subscription parameters can also be used in the checkout_form. In which case ALL subscription information in individual products is ignored, and the checkout itself is the sub item.

We’re moving away from the forums, though not entirely and not immediately. Lack of support lately is coincidental to that. Unfortunately we’ve had a bad month with it, but we do not forsee that we will have any continued problems with support through our portal going forward, or on forums while we’re still transitioning. We will send out a newsletter and make additional notifications through twitter and other outlets over the coming weeks.

Moving forward; things returning to normal.

How do I allow the customer to pick the payment option (ie. pay in full, or pay 3 monthly payments). Does CT automatically calculate the subscription price based off the subscription parameters in the checkout_form? (ie. subscription=“months”, subscription_interval_length=“1”, occurrences=“3”)

No. You’d need to calculate that yourself.
