That’s a paypal error. Looking into it.
If you receive this error, be sure the total of the payment detail item parameters, such as ItemTotal, HandlingTotal, TaxTotal, and so forth add up to the order total.
Probably due to some rounding error in the line items that are sent over versus the total that’s sent over. Man… Sometimes I really, really really hate papal.

We’re moving away from the forums, though not entirely and not immediately. Lack of support lately is coincidental to that. Unfortunately we’ve had a bad month with it, but we do not forsee that we will have any continued problems with support through our portal going forward, or on forums while we’re still transitioning. We will send out a newsletter and make additional notifications through twitter and other outlets over the coming weeks.
Moving forward; things returning to normal.

The totals of the cart item amounts do not match order amounts
What are the costs of the items you guys are using to test with? Is it like 1.01 or something like 1.0555721
There are a few things that can cause this. I’ve been looking into it. Basically it comes down to rounding errors AND/OR decimal precision in amounts that are sent to PayPal. Right now we send everything straight through… but PP Express only accepts 2 decimal precision. So that’s one problem. The other problem could come down to some kind of tax problem. What tax system are you using?

I fixed that earlier tonight. You can replace the cartthrob_price_modifiers folder with the latest from here:
https://cartthrob.com/cart/purchased_items
or just swap the ft.cartthrob_price_modifiers.php file that’s included i that folder.

Sweet, the price for the most is in the format: $$ - note there are no cents there are a few with $$.cc
The checkout shows everything as normal with proper $$.00, shipping is a flat fee per item and as mentioned, no tax !!

If it matters at all, I can checkout via PayPal without issue in Australia - yet Maxx, who lives in the US cannot (apparently)

Sorry for slamming the thread but…
You can add one item to the cart and checkout = WIN
Same products but 1 each of a different size = WIN
2 of the same Product = FAIL
Basically single items will pass, multiple items (of the same product line eg. sm/black/pants) fail.

Ok so apparently it doesn’t matter where you live now… it just won’t work with multiplies of the same item?

Fixed. You can download here
https://cartthrob.com/cart/purchased_items
You can just replace the express gateway. That’s all that’s affected.

To clarify: there was an issue in the express gateway. I fixed it. Replace the existing one with the new one.
