Paypal Problem

Hey gang,

I am just having a problem with Paypal standard.

I am getting the error “Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the shipping address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be shipped to that address.”

On the site. I read that this is to do with the country codes being three letters?

Is there also anyway of not needing the user to type in the Name, billing etc and then shipping? Can it just go to paypal and then get the address from there?

Are you using {gateway_fields} variable in your checkout form? If so, you can delete it.

And, I don’t think it has anything to do with 3 char country codes.  Before you change much of anything else, make sure that “Allow address editing at PayPal?: ” is set to “yes”  in the cartthrob settings for the PayPal payment gateway. I think this error has something to do with billing address being in one country, and shipping in another…. I don’t recall exactly.

http://cartthrob.com/tutorials/configuring_paypal_standard_for_cartthrob/

1. Make sure you have enabled Auto Return in your Paypal settings
2. Turn On Payment Data Transfer (PDT)

Make sure your sandbox account is verified.

Now we’re treading into PayPal support issues. You’ll need to take that up with them.
